Reviews

  • Christoph Petersen writes in his review at Filmstarts.de: “For every budding indie director, Frank W. Monday's genre thriller proves to be the right injection of motivation - here you get to see everything, even without subsidies or studio financing, just with an unconditional will can be achieved. Due to the strenuous-looking, slow-paced second half, 'Slasher' can only be recommended to a limited extent for the common horror fan. "
  • Matthias Mahr from Manifest - Das Filmmagazin: “SLASHER teaches you horror in the first few minutes. Not that the introduction to this standard forest-and-meadow slasher from the amateur corner would be a successful debut, in fact, pretty much everything is given away that could be given away. "
  • Frank Pfützenreuter from Zelluloid: “'Slasher' is really not badly made for an independent production. There are many scenes and camera angles that show a lot of love for details and atmosphere [...] The actors also played their roles absolutely convincingly and also look very good. "
  • The lexicon of international films judges: “In terms of form and content, extremely modest low-budget trash; the German offshoot of a horror sub-genre rather gives the impression of morose amateur theater. "
