Mehamn ( Sami Donjevuotna , Kven : Meehamina ) is a place in northern Norway on the coast of the Barents Sea with around 690 inhabitants. The place belongs to the municipality of Gamvik in the province of Troms og Finnmark .

The harbor

The inhabitants of Mehamn live mainly from fishing and the fish processing industry.

traffic

Since Gamvik has stopped calling, Mehamn has been the northernmost port of call for the traditional Hurtigruten mail service .

The airport Mehamn is located about one kilometer southwest of the village.

On the streets Fv888 and Rv98 you will reach almost 190 kilometers route in Tana bru to the European Straße 6 .
