Meißwinkel is a location in the Wuppertal district of Vohwinkel , residential area Schöller-Dornap .
Location and description
Meißwinkel is in the north of Vohwinkel on the Düssel , directly on the city limits to Mettmann and Wülfrath . Neighboring places are Überzurbeck , Scheidt , Dörnen , Langendorf and Tillmannsdorf in Wülfrath, Zum Löh , Buschdelle and Böck in Mettmann and Schmalefeld , Am Heister and Hahnenfurth in Wuppertal.
history
In the 19th century, Meißwinkel was a residential area in the rural community of Unterdüssel of the mayor's office Wülfrath , which emerged from the Bergische Honschaft Unterdüssel . On the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and on the Prussian first survey from 1843, the place is labeled as Meiswinkel . In 1888, according to the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province , the place had two houses with 14 residents. The place is called Meiswinkel at the time .
With the municipal reform of 1975, the area around Meißwinkel was incorporated into the city of Wuppertal.
