My babysitter is a vampire (original title: My Babysitter's a Vampire ) is a Canadian youth series with fantasy and horror elements from 2011. It is based on the television film of the same name from 2010.
prehistory
The series continues the feature film of the same name and is about the teenager Ethan Morgan, who found out that his babysitter Sarah is a vampire . He is a seer himself and his best friend Benny is a magician . The series is about their adventures in high school where they encounter all sorts of supernatural beings such as zombies , demons and ghosts .
Characters
main characters
- Ethan Morgan ( Matthew Knight ) is a smart boy who lacks social skills. He is brave and stands up for his friends. Ethan is a seer who, when touched, receives visions from the past or future. With his strength he fights against the supernatural powers in his hometown, but also has to learn how to use them properly. He is in love with Sarah
- Sarah ( Vanessa Morgan ) is a friend of Ethan's, but because of Ethan's often childish behavior she also acts as his babysitter. She is a "bitch", a kind of preliminary stage to becoming a vampire. Although she has some advantages of being a vampire, she is not a full-fledged vampire because she has not yet drank human blood. She tries to be a completely normal teenager, but due to her strength she rarely succeeds. At the end of season one, she turns into a vampire when she has to save Ethan from a bite.
- Benny Weir ( Atticus Mitchell ) is Ethan's best friend. He has a great deal of expertise that unfortunately only applies to science fiction , comics and video games . Benny is adolescent and after all the girls in high school, most of all he's got an eye on Erica. Benny is a magician, a gift he inherited from his grandmother, an "earth priestess" (comparable to a " new witch "). Benny has not mastered the magic yet, so some of his spells go wrong.
- Rory ( Cameron Kennedy ) is a newly created vampire who is still trying to find his way around in his role. Before, as a human, he was one of Benny and Ethan's best friends. He tries to keep doing this, but overestimates himself in many ways. He also has little scruples about using his vampire powers to his advantage. Rory falls in love with Erica, but she only takes advantage of his feelings.
- Erica ( Kate Todd ) was Sarah's best friend before she turned into a vampire. Like Rory, she has few scruples and enjoys her life as an undead. She is sexy and seductive, also to distract from her former nerd existence. Despite being deceptive and manipulative, she still tries to maintain her friendship with Sarah.
Minor characters
- Samantha Morgan ( Laura DeCarteret ) is the mother of Ethan and Jane.
- Ross Morgan ( Ari Cohen ) is the father of Ethan and Jane.
- Grandma ( Joan Gregson ) is Benny's grandmother. Her name is Evelyn. She is a witch and helps her grandson to control his newly developed powers.
- Jane Morgan ( Ella Jonas Farlinger ) is Ethan's eight-year-old sister.
