Mel Lopez
Mel Lopez (* 1. September 1935 in Manila as a junior Gemiliano Campos López ; † 1. January 2017 in Quezon City ) was a Filipino politician of the Liberal Party and sports official .
Life
Lopez studied in Mandaluyong City at the José Rizal University . He was Mayor of Manila from 1986 to 1987 and from 1988 to 1992. From 1984 to 1986 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines . From 1993 to 1996 he was a member of the Philippine Sports Commission .
Lopez died of a heart attack on New Year 2017 at the age of 81 .
