His fantastic lectures in the slums are initially promoted by Maria Soledad, the wife of a colonel, under the guise of charity. With her he enjoys happiness that can only last hours. She becomes Melanio's last love.

Quote

“There is a little TV film,“ Melanio's Last Love ”, where I played a cook who didn't have anything to cook with and instead read recipes and made people fun - with nothing in hand. That’s where our profession ultimately comes from: from court jesters, dreamers and fairground fans. "
