The Mendel ( Russian Мендель , fem. ) Is a left tributary of the Ket in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in Russia .

It has a length of 366 km and covers a catchment area of approx. 3800 km². The river has its source on a plateau and carries melt water , especially from May to August .

In the upper reaches, the Mendola is crossed by a railway bridge on the Achinsk - Lessosibirsk line , a branch line of the Trans-Siberian Railway . There are practically no human settlements along the river; The village of Mendelski (Russian Мендельский) is only a few kilometers from the railway bridge, and the village of Vorosheika (Russian Ворожейка) at the confluence with the Ket.
