Menga Danuser

Menga Danuser (born July 31, 1951 in Frauenfeld ; † September 3, 2011 , entitled to live in Felsberg and St. Gallen ) was a Swiss politician ( SP ).

The history teacher who worked in Frauenfeld was a member of the Frauenfeld municipal council from 1975 to 1983. During three legislative periods from 1976 to 1988 she was on the Grand Council of the Canton of Thurgau. On November 30, 1987 she was elected to the National Council as the first woman in the canton of Thurgau . It contributed significantly to the fact that the Greina plateau could be placed under protection. She was also strongly committed to women's rights. Danuser also became known in connection with the fishing scandal by making the entry “likes to have a beer in the evenings!” Public on her fiche.

In the 1995 elections, the SP Thurgau divided its list into two sub-lists, separated by gender , with the result that Menga Danuser was voted out and replaced by Jost Gross .

For health reasons, she took early retirement and lived in a secluded life in Frauenfeld. She died of heart failure.
