Mert Tahmazoğlu (born April 1, 1990 ) is a Turkish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Gümüş Patenler SK in the Turkish Super League since 2016 .
Career
Mert Tahmazoğlu began his career as an ice hockey player at Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankara SK . In 2008 he moved to the Ankara-based club of the Police Academy , with which he became Turkish national champion in 2009 . Then he returned to his home club. In 2016 he switched to Gümüş Patenler SK .
International
For Turkey, Tahmazoğlu took part in the junior division in Division III at the U18 World Championships in 2006 , 2007 and 2008 and the U20 World Championships in 2006 , 2007 and 2010 .
With the men's national team , the striker has only played in the World Cup in Division III in 2009 , when he was promoted to Division II.
