Mertan Caner Öztürk (born November 2, 1992 in Fatih ) is a Turkish football player.
Career

Öztürk was born in Karagümrük , a district in the Fatih district of Istanbul . His family originally comes from the northern Turkish port city of Ayancık . At the age of 4–5, Öztürk and his family moved to Germany , but returned to Istanbul after just two years. In 2002 he started club football in the youth department of Galatasaray Istanbul .
From summer 2009 Öztürk began to play for the reserve team of his club, the A2 team. With this he won the championship of the A2 Ligi in the 2010/11 season . After this success he continued to play for the A2 team, but also took part in the training of the professional team and sat on their bench in some mandatory games.
Professional career
On January 10, 2012 he was set up by head coach Fatih Terim in the cup match against Adana Demirspor in the starting line-up and made his professional debut. In the further course of the season he played exclusively for the A2 team, but was part of the professional team without first division Turkish football champions . The following season he played exclusively for the A2 team.
With the expiry of his contract with Galatasaray, he left this club in the summer of 2013 after eight years and moved to the third division Altınordu Izmir . With this team he quickly established himself as a top performer. After he was only autumn champion with his club, he also reached the third division championship two game days before the end of the season. As a result, Altınordu returned to the TFF 1st Lig , the second highest Turkish league, after a 24-year absence . For the second half of the 2014/15 season he was loaned to Aydınspor in 1923 . At the beginning of July 2015 he finally moved to Manisaspor .
With this club he became third division champion in the summer of 2016 and thus rose to the TFF 1st Lig . After another season for Manisaspor he moved to the second division Elazığspor and in the summer of 2018 to Osmanlıspor FK .

In 2010 Öztürk completed four missions for the Turkish U-18 national team .
