Mesquita , officially Portuguese Município de Mesquita , is a municipality in Minas Gerais , Brazil with a population of 5,951 and a municipality area of ​​274.938 km².

From 1989 to 2017 it was in the Ipatinga microregion and the Vale do Rio Doce mesoregion . Adjacent municipalities are Açucena , Belo Oriente , Coronel Fabriciano , Ipatinga , Joanésia e Santana do Paraíso .

City Prefect (Mayor) for the 2017–2020 electoral period is Ronaldo de Oliveira (PRB).
