In the three years of existence, the club had only two draft rights in the first round of the WNBA draft . With the exception of the 2000 season, the franchise each had a draft pick in the first round.
The Sol had the highest draft pick before the 2001 season, when Ruth Riley was selected as the fifth player by the Miami team. She contributed to the team's only playoff participation that season and later won the WNBA championship twice with the Detroit Shock team .
