Michèle Buirette

Michèle Jeanne Buirette (born March 4, 1949 in Boulogne sur Seine ) is a French musician ( accordion , vocals and composition).

Live and act

Buirette turned to making music after studying psychology . With the singer Dominique Fonfrède and the double bassist Geneviève Cabannes she formed the trio Pied de Poule . With this group she has performed at the jazz festivals of Le Mans , Berlin and Grenoble and has toured Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia and Slovenia. In 1991 she formed the Al Dente quartet with Lindsay Cooper , Maggie Nicols and Elvira Plenar (recordings on the documentation of the 1991 Canaille Festival in Frankfurt). Since 2001 she has performed the Histoires zazoues program with Hélène Sage , which is partly based on texts by Jacques Prévert and Raymond Queneau . Other literary programs followed, including Peau d'âme with Gigi Bigot. With Jean-Jacques Birgé she wrote the music for the documentary film Der Ruhrkampf (1995/2006).
