A Michael Jackson impersonator on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the album Thriller at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival , with artists from Step It Up and Dance .

A Michael Jackson impersonator mimics or copies the look and sound of the American entertainer Michael Jackson . They work as entertainers around the world and are in great demand as a tribute band because of Jackson's popularity.

  • Maanthrikam , a 1995 Malayalam action comedy that includes a scene in which actor Vinayakan (in his film debut) does a 'faint imitation' of Jackson.
  • Mister Lonely is a 2007 British-French-Irish-American comedy dramadirected by Harmony Korine and co-written with his brother Avi Korine. It is the story of a young man who lives in Paris and makes a living as the Michael Jackson Lookalike, with Diego Luna as Jackson dancing in the streets, public parks, in front of tourist attractions and at trade shows.

  • Move Like Michael Jackson was a British talent show produced by independent production company Fever Media and Gogglebox Entertainment and broadcast on BBC Three . She aimed to find people who could dance like Jackson.
  • Impersonator Edward Moss portrayed Jackson in re-enactments of his 2005 court case on child molestation allegations that appear daily on E! and Sky UK.
  • In 2011, Brazilian cover artists Jean Walker and Ricardo Walker played the King of Pop on the TV show "Qual é Seu Talento" (in English: What is your talent) on the Brazilian broadcaster Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão . Jean Walker sang at the performances while Ricardo Walker danced. Jean Walker has a timbre very similar to Michael Jackson, while Ricardo Walker is an excellent dancer who works as a dance instructor.
  • The German public TV broadcaster NDR re- enacted the spontaneous surprise visit of the King of Pop in Hamburg's Tierpark Hagenbeck in 2009 as part of the program Our Story . The German double Michael Rouven imitated Michael Jackson in this TV production.

In January 2014, Lorena Turner, who teaches photography at the Communication Department at California State Polytechnic University , had spent four years tracking down 35 artists and lookalikes of Jackson. She published a new book of photos, essays, and stories of men and women in the United States who make a living pretending to be Jackson.

  • Thriller - Live is a two and a half hour concert that celebrates Jackson's music. It had performed in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia beforeopeningon January 2, 2009 at the Lyric Theater , London . The show wasconceivedby the Jackson family friendand writer Adrian Grant .
