Michael Bochtler (born October 15, 1975 in Ulm ) is a former German soccer player and current coach .

Career

Bochtler played a total of 54 Bundesliga games for VfB Stuttgart and FC St. Pauli as well as 127 games in the regional soccer league for VfR Aalen , FC Nöttingen and FC Carl Zeiss Jena .

Between 1993 and 1996 Bochtler played at VfB Stuttgart. In the 1996/97 season he was on loan for FC St. Pauli, then again for Stuttgart. In January 1998 he moved to SK Sturm Graz for two and a half years . From 2000 to 2004 he played for VfR Aalen, in the 2004/05 season at FC Nöttingen and ended his career in the 2005/06 season at Carl Zeiss Jena.

In 1992 he was a player of SSV Ulm with the German U-16 team in Cyprus U-16 European champions , 1994 with the U-18 team in Portugal second in the European championship , after the final in Merida with 1: 4 on penalties the host was lost. Between 1996 and 1998 he played eleven international matches for the U-21 national team . He made his debut on April 23, 1996 in Sittard in a 2-0 win over the Dutch hosts. On September 9, 1997, he scored his only international goal in the 7-0 win in Solingen against the selection of Armenia , as part of the qualification for the 1998 European Championship .

After coaching the men's team at TSF Ludwigsfeld from 2008 to 2012 , he has been the head coach of the TSG Ehingen 1848 men's team since 2012 .
