Michael Brenner (legal scholar)

Michael Brenner (born September 15, 1960 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a German law scholar and university professor .

Life

After graduating from high school in Schwäbisch Gmünd in 1980 and completing military service, he studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich from 1981 to the first state examination in 1986 and as a scholarship holder of the German Academic Exchange Service at the University of Geneva . In 1990, Brenner was with Hans-Jürgen Papier at the University of Bielefeld with the work Federal Intelligence Service in the Rule of Law - Between Secret Service Efficiency and Rule of Law Control as a Dr. jur. PhD. He then took a position as a research assistant at the University of Munich with Peter Badura . From 1992 to 1994, Brenner was also the editor of the public law archive . The habilitation with the thesis The legal framework of the design order of the administration in the European Union took place in 1994 also at the University of Munich.
