Michael Chapman (musician)
Michael Chapman (born January 24, 1941 in Leeds , Yorkshire , England , † September 10, 2021 ) was a British guitarist and singer . He played acoustic and electric guitar .
Chapman was known for his sarcastic , sometimes autobiographical texts. His music fused rock , blues , folk , jazz and country . Chapman also translated texts by Udo Lindenberg into English and performed with Achim Reichel . In the mid-1980s he founded the band Savage Amusement with Rick Kemp from Steeleye Span . In 1995 Michael Chapman published the novel Firewater Dreams with strongly autobiographical features.
