Michael Detharding (* 1565 in Rostock ; † 1625 ) was a German medic.

Life

Michael Detharding was a son of the Rostock pastor Barthold Detharding from Herford , who is the progenitor of the family of scholars Detharding in Mecklenburg and Pomerania. He studied medicine at the University of Frankfurt / Oder and the University of Rostock , where he received his master's degree in 1587. He practiced as a doctor in Rostock and in Stargard in Pomerania . In 1600 he became a city ​​physician in Stralsund , where he can no longer be traced in 1626.

He was married to Elisabeth Petzner and the father of the Pomeranian court pharmacist in Stettin Georg Detharding .
