Michael Erlenbach

Michael Erlenbach (born March 5, 1902 in Nuremberg ; † January 8, 1962 ) was a German chemist .

Career

Erlenbach studied in Erlangen , Freiburg and Munich , where he received his doctorate on quinovic acid in 1927 . In August 1928 he joined the Hoechst paintworks as a chemist . There he was a trustee from 1946 to 1953 , then a member of the board.

In addition, he was chairman of the supervisory board of Behringwerke and the AG for the non-profit procurement of apartments , deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Commerz- und Creditbank AG as well as a member of the supervisory board of Knapsack-Griesheim AG and a member of the main committee of the German Chemical Industry Association .

Honors

In 1953 he received the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was an honorary citizen of the University of Frankfurt a. Main as well as honorary senator of the University of Marburg .
