Paul Ludowigs
Paul Ludowigs (born September 1, 1884 in Cologne , † July 31, 1968 in Wülfrath ) was a German entrepreneur.
Career
Ludowigs studied architecture at the Technical Universities of Hanover and Berlin. He entered the state service as a government construction manager for the Prussian railway administration. In 1917 he moved to the Rheinische Kalksteinwerke Wülfrath (RKW). There he initially took over the management of the branch in Belgium and in 1918 the management. In 1919 he also became managing director of Dolomitwerke . In the company he was a pioneer for the full mechanization of rock mining. He was a member of the NSDAP and was dismissed by the British military authorities in 1946, but was re-admitted to the RKW Supervisory Board in 1947. In 1948 he retired.
