Michael Gerlich
Michael Gerlich (born February 19, 1991 in Waiblingen ) is a German handball player .
Life
In his youth he played for TSV Mindelheim before joining the SC Magdeburg youth team and attending the Magdeburg sports high school. In 2008, Gerlich was world champion student in Ikast, Denmark . He later went to third division club SG Pforzheim / Eutingen and then to HC Wernau . The 1.98-meter-tall backcourt player has played for VfL Waiblingen since 2013 , but was interrupted by a stay abroad before joining third division SG Leutershausen in 2015 .
In 2008, Gerlich was allowed to enter the Golden Book of the city of Magdeburg in recognition of his sporting success as a school world champion.
His brother Matthias Gerlich is also a handball player.
