Michael Geyer (journalist)
Michael Geyer (born March 19, 1940 in Cottbus ; † January 30, 2003 in Bremen ) was a German journalist , presenter and editor- in- chief at Radio Bremen .
Life
Geyer studied journalism, sociology and history and in March 1970 he got a permanent position as a news editor at Radio Bremen, in 1980 he became editor for regional television. He played a key role in the concept and presentation of the regional news magazine buten un binnen , which he also moderated. He also appeared as an outside reporter on the program Extratour produced by Radio Bremen and often commented provocatively on the daily topics . Geyer was editor-in-chief for television from 1990 to 1998, after which he became head of the culture and society department . Geyer had been taking early retirement since the end of 2000.
