Michael Hufnagel

Michael Konrad Hufnagel (born September 11, 1854 in Möckenau ; † January 20, 1915 there ) was a farmer, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Hufnagel attended the elementary school in Oberdachstetten for seven years and the agricultural school in Ansbach in 1868/69. He then devoted himself to agriculture and in 1877 took over his parents' property in Möckenau, which he has managed since then. From 1893 he was mayor of the community of Mitteldachstetten . He was also a member of the agricultural district committee of Middle Franconia, the district council and the agricultural district committee of Ansbach. He founded and chaired several agricultural cooperatives. He was the holder of the Prince Regent Luitpold Medal .

From 1899 to 1911 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies and from 1903 to 1912 of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Middle Franconia  3 ( Ansbach , Schwabach , Heilsbronn ). In the Reichstag he joined the parliamentary group of the German Conservative Party , he was also a member of the farmers' union and stood as a compromise candidate for both parties in all Reichstag elections.
