Michael Janz

Michael Janz (born November 2, 1978 ) is a German-Canadian Christian pop musician .

Life

Michael Janz comes from a musical family. His grandfather Hildor Janz came to Europe from Canada in 1954 to co-found the evangelical Missionswerk Janz team , where he worked as a soloist as well as in the Janz Quartet and sang on large evangelizations and records . Michael's father Danny Janz was part of the band Deliverance and also hired for the Janz team.

From 2000 Michael Janz was the singer of the band Beatbetrieb . He replaced Andreas Volz . Beatbetrieb was already nominated for the German music award Echo and received the golden tuning fork in 2003 . In 2003 the band also took second place in the German qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Woran Do you believe?

In 2001 the Janz team released a compilation with Michael Janz, his father Danny Janz and Danny Plett under the title Voices - I stand with you .

In 2006 Michael Janz took part in the Swiss casting show SuperStar and won it with the songs "Right Here Waiting" and "Addicted To Love". He sang backing vocals for Nena and Beate Ling and recorded a title with Xavier Naidoo .

In February 2008, his first solo album was released So great is the Lord at Gerth Medien .
