Andreas Volz
Andreas Volz (born September 27, 1971 in Papua New Guinea ) is a German musician , singer and songwriter of Christian pop music .
Life
Andreas Volz spent the first years of his childhood in Papua New Guinea and attended boarding school there between 1980 and 1982, where he learned to play the violin . In 1981 the family moved back to Germany.
Volz learned other instruments such as drums , guitar and electric bass and eventually had singing lessons. In 1987 he began to write songs himself, and his first appearances followed. From 1987 onwards, Volz was a co-singer and soloist in the CVJM choir Die Wasserträger for two years . In 1993 he founded the rock band Turn Around with some friends , in 1998 the band Beatbetrieb and was their songwriter and lead singer until 2000. In 2002 he released his solo debut In mir . Up to his final concert as a solo artist, which took place in his hometown of Kirchheim / Teck in mid-2017, he released four more solo albums and worked in over 50 productions as a studio musician and soloist for Christian music producers such as Albert Frey , Gerhard Schnitter and Dieter Falk . In addition to his full-time activity as a businessman, he is involved as a worship leader in church services , at church days or similar events. He was an employee of the Community Holiday Festival Spring .
Since 2018 he has been training as a teacher for music and sport at the Kirchheim / Teck pedagogical seminar .
Private
Volz is married to his wife Angela. The couple have two children and live in Kirchheim unter Teck .
