Michael Kamm

Michael Kamm (born September 10, 1978 in Regensburg ) is a German film composer and music producer .

Life

Born in Regensburg, Michael Kamm moved to Augsburg with his family at a young age . There he spent most of his childhood and youth.

Kamm began his musical training at the age of 6. As a member and soloist of the Augsburger Domsingknaben , he enjoyed professional, classical singing training for several years. He also took private piano lessons. When his voice broke, Kamm reoriented himself musically. He founded various punk and rock bands in which he appeared as a singer and guitarist.

After several successful years with his indie-rock combo Nova International , Kamm founded the music production company PasDeDeux in 2005 together with his band colleagues. In the following years he set numerous commercials to music, including for ING-DiBa , Coca-Cola, Fanta, Panasonic, Coop and produced various albums in various genres. Parallel to his self-employment, Kamm studied music at the University of Augsburg .

He made his debut as a film composer in 2010 with the film The Last Silence . After another successful collaboration with director Baran bo Odar , Kamm made the move to Hollywood . There he works again with Odar on the thriller Sleepless .

Michael Kamm lives in Augsburg.
