Michael Klauß (born September 15, 1970 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

societies

Active in the youth department for Bayer 05 Uerdingen until 1988, with whom he won the B youth championship a year earlier thanks to two goals from him, Klauß moved up to the first team. In his first season he only made his debut in the Bundesliga on December 3, 1988 (17th matchday) in a goalless draw in the home game against FC St. Pauli , when he came on for Dietmar Klinger in the 65th minute . In the following season he played five Bundesliga games and 22 in his third season. In this he also managed his first Bundesliga goal on August 25, 1990 (3rd matchday) in a 1-1 draw in the home game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen with the goal to make it 1-0 in the 44th minute. After his professional time he worked for SV Darmstadt 98 , Borussia Wuppertal , Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , FC Wegberg-Beeck , Schwarz-Weiß Essen and VfB Speldorf ; in Speldorf, he took over the function of sporting director of the former league team from 2003 to 2009 .

National team

For the DFB , Klauß played two international games for the Olympic team in 1990 and three for the U-21 national team . He made his debut in the national jersey on May 15, 1990 in Muri in the preparatory game for the Olympics in a 2-1 win against the Swiss team. Three days later he was defeated by Czechoslovakia 0-3 with the national team in Würzburg .

For the U-21 national team he came on October 9, 1990 in Uppsala in a 2-1 win over Sweden , on October 30, 1990 in Diekirch in a 9-0 win over Luxembourg and on December 18, 1990 in Kirchheim unter Teck in the 4-1 win against Switzerland .
