Michael Kuhn (writer)

Michael Kuhn (born December 21, 1955 in Wuppertal ) is a German writer and publisher .

Life

After graduating from high school, Kuhn studied history and political science at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen . After completing his studies, he was involved in various historical projects (including in his own company). In addition to his professional career as a historian, he worked extensively as an excavation draftsman in archeology and was involved in several excavations in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Since 2008, Kuhn has been writing historical novels full-time and in the same year founded the Ammianus-Verlag , where he publishes his own books as well as works by other authors such as Renata Thiele and Günter Krieger . Between 2008 and 2010 the novel trilogy “Marcus - Soldat Roms”, set in late antiquity, was published . In 2011, the beginning of a new series followed, which takes place during the Merovingian era .

A characteristic of his writing activity is the combination of the latest archaeological knowledge, real history and fictional events as well as the travel guides to historical sites attached to the novels.
