Michael Mason (born June 28, 1971 in Kassel ) is a former American football player and today's coach. He also has German citizenship .

Career

As a player

In the club

He played from 1995 to 1997 at Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga .

After the winter break in 2008/09 Michael Mason moved from the group division club SV Nordshausen (near Kassel) to the regional division KSV Hessen Kassel , where he strengthened the reserve.

The offensive all-rounder made his regional league debut for KSV on matchday 20 when he was substituted on in the 83rd minute. So far, he has made three appearances in the Hessenliga . Since the 2011/2012 season he has been playing in the Kassel group league 1 district of North Hesse for SG Lohre / Niedervorschütz.

In the national team

In qualifying for the 1998 World Cup in France, he completed five international matches for the national soccer team of the United States .

As a trainer

From July 1st, 2012 to the summer of 2013 he was playing assistant coach of the SG Lohre / Niedervorschütz. He then returned to SV Nordhausen as an assistant coach, before being appointed head coach of his former club SG Lohre / Niedervorschütz on May 13, 2014.
