Michael Miksits (born September 25, 1981 in Güssing , Burgenland ) is an Austrian football player.

In his youth Michael Miksits played at SV Olbendorf and was trained at the BNZ Burgenland. From 1999 he was subsequently under contract with numerous regional and regional league clubs, playing for SC Eisenstadt (1999–00, 2001–02), SV Güssing (2000–01), SV Mattersburg II (2002–03), FC Lustenau 07 (2004), First Vienna FC 1894 (2004–05) and as a loan player at SV Schwechat (2005–2006).

In the summer of 2006 Michael Miksits moved to the German second division team SpVgg Unterhaching , but only came on a single substitute in the 89th minute. Nevertheless, he subsequently found his first engagement with an Austrian professional club in September 2007, when he moved to FC Kärnten . At the end of the 2007/08 season he moved to SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 . After he also terminated his contract there, he moved to 1. Wiener Neustädter SC in January 2009 after only half a year . After the stints at TSV Hartberg and FC Pasching , he joined FC Blau-Weiß Linz in spring 2011 , where he scored the 1: 0 equalizing the home defeat in the relegation for the first division in the decisive away game at WSG Swarovski Wattens . In the penalty shoot-out, Linz was finally able to fix the promotion.

In February 2012, Miksits was found to have a blood clot in his lungs, so the player had to take a few months off. Nevertheless, his contract was extended in May of the same year. Is now a teacher at the NMS Lauriacum Enns.
