Michael Rodi

Michael Rodi (born March 20, 1958 in Munich ) is a German legal scholar and currently holds a professorship at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald .

Rodi studied political science , law and economics in Konstanz and Munich from 1977 to 1987 and became a research assistant at the chair for public law at the University of Munich under Klaus Vogel . In 1992 he became aware with his work “The justification of taxes as a constitutional problem. Shown using the example of the trade tax "in Munich for Dr. jur. PhD . In 1995 he did his Master of Arts in political science with Heinz Laufer, also in Munich . In 1998 he was born in Munich with the text “The Subsidy Legislation. The subsidy as an instrument of public purpose achievement in international law, European law and German national law "in the subjects of Public Law, Tax Law and European Law habilitation . Rodi has held a chair at the University of Greifswald since 1999. He is also head of the Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (IKEM), an affiliated institute of the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald.

Rodi is a member of the German Tax Law Society , Society for Environmental Law , the Association of German Constitutional Law Teachers , the Association for Legal Sociology , the German- South African Lawyers Association, the Friends of Ecological Tax Reform and the Friends of the Environment Law Society.
