Michael Sexauer

Johann Michael Sexauer (born December 10, 1936 in Stuttgart ; † February 6, 2006 there ) was a German lawyer and politician ( SPD ).

Life

Sexauer completed a law degree and passed both state legal exams. He was then admitted to the bar and practiced as such in a law firm in Stuttgart. He joined the SPD in 1961 and was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg in 1976 , to which he was a member until 1984. In parliament he represented a second mandate of the constituency Stuttgart I . He was also chairman of the Stuttgart tenants' association.

After the signing of the NATO double resolution , Sexauer was actively involved in the peace movement . He took part in various demonstrations and, in 1983, took part in the human chain from Stuttgart to Neu-Ulm . Following the Chernobyl catastrophe , he campaigned for the referendum for peace in Baden-Württemberg as an opponent of nuclear power and called for a referendum.

Michael Sexauer was married and had two daughters and a son.
