Michael Exchange
Michael Tausch (born August 11, 1949 in Schäßburg , Romania ) is a German chemist and university professor . Since 2005 he has been professor of chemistry and its didactics at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .
biography
From 1967 to 1972 Michael Tausch studied at the Bucharest Polytechnic Institute and graduated with a diploma thesis and diploma examination. Then - until 1975 - he worked on preparative work for his doctorate at the Institute for Organic Chemistry Bucharest. Then (1977–1979) he completed a degree in mathematics and educational science with state examinations and study seminars in Bremen and Oldenburg . This was followed by theoretical work and a doctorate for Dr. rer. nat. at the University of Bremen . He worked on photochemical and thermal rearrangements in tribenzo-12-annulenes. From 1976 to 1996 he worked as a subject teacher for chemistry and mathematics at the cooperative comprehensive school in Weyhe (near Bremen).
Tausch was professor of chemistry and its didactics at the Gerhard-Mercator University in Duisburg from 1996 to 2005 and has held a professorship for chemistry and its didactics at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal since 2005 . The didactic emeritus has been Rudolf Carnap Senior Professor there since 2018.

Publications
Michael Tausch publishes in numerous didactic journals. By October 2013, he had around 200 publications, including 20 textbooks for school and university.
In addition, Tausch has been the editor and editor of the journal Praxis der Naturwissenschaften - Chemie in der Schule (PdN-ChiS) and a reviewer for various journals since 2000 .
