Michael Thomas (* 3. March 1993 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the New Orleans Saints as a wide receiver .
college
Thomas attended Ohio State University and played college football with great success for their team, the Buckeyes , scoring a total of 18 touchdowns between 2012 and 2015 .
NFL
Thomas was the NFL Draft in 2016 as a total of 47 by the New Orleans Saints selected and received a four-year contract in the amount of 5,110,000 US dollars . He was able to prevail immediately, was used in 15 games in his rookie season, 12 times as a starter , where he was able to capture 1,137 yards and became the second most successful scorer on his team with 9 touchdowns.
In 2017 he was appointed to the Pro Bowl for the first time , another appointment followed in 2018. This honored his exceptional achievements during the season; his 125 successful pass catches in 147 attempts were the league's best.
After Thomas initially refused to take part in the preparation of the Saints, he received a new, lucrative contract in the summer of 2019. For five years he will receive 100 million US dollars, 61 of which are guaranteed. Since the game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 16 on December 22, 2019, Thomas has held the sole record for the most wide receiver passes caught in a single season (149).
