Michaela Baschin (born June 2, 1984 in Stuttgart ) is a German judoka (3rd Dan ).

Michaela Baschin started her sport in 1991 when she was looking for an alternative to her previous sport, table tennis . She already achieved great success with the juniors: In 2003 she finished third at the U20 European Championships.

In 1999 she won third place at the German Championships, and in 2001 she repeated this result. In 2004, 2005 and 2006 Bashin was then each German champion. In 2005 she took part for the first time in World Championships and European Championships, but achieved no major success. In 2006 she celebrated her greatest international success by winning the European Championship bronze medal; In 2007 she was fifth and again took part in the world championships in Rio de Janeiro , but retired early after an opening defeat. Bashin won the title at the International German Championships in 2006 and came second in 2008. There were also two victories in World Cup competitions, 2007 in Minsk and 2008 in Rome .

Since 2001 Bashin has established himself in the national top of the judoka. In 2004 she was appointed to the national team.
