Michal Hvorecký

Michal Hvorecký (born December 29, 1976 in Bratislava , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak writer and journalist .

Life

Michal Hvorecký lives in Bratislava. He has so far published three novels , two volumes of short stories and one volume of essays . In the FAZ and the TIME and in numerous other magazines essays and short stories have been published about him. He has received several literary prizes and was, among other things, a scholarship holder of the Berlin Literary Colloquium .

His books have been translated into Italian, Polish, Czech and German. He also writes regularly for various magazines and newspapers, e. B. the daily newspaper SME published in Bratislava .
