Michel Blanc-Dumont
Michel Blanc-Dumont (* 1948 in Saint-Amand-Montrond ) is a French cartoonist .
Career
Michel Blanc-Dumont studied art in Paris after finishing school. For three years he also worked for his father, a well-known restorer. He realized his first short story in 1973 in Phénix. All of his short stories were summarized in the 1985 album Courts métrages .
The quality of his drawings and his fondness for the American West had not escaped those responsible at Pilote , which is why he was able to start the Jonathan Cartland western series with Laurence Harlé . He achieved success in 1988 when Les survivants de l'ombre was named the best album of the year. Jonathan Cartland's last album was released in 1995 after a hiatus of six years. After Pilote was hired, he worked with Greg and started the crime series Colby . Michel Blanc-Dumont eventually returned to the western with The Youth of Blueberry .
In addition to his drawing activities, he also works as an illustrator. His wife Claudine has been coloring his albums since 1981. His children are called Benjamin and Lucie.
