Michel Boisrond

Michel Jacques Boisrond (born October 9, 1921 in Châteauneuf-en-Thymerais , Eure-et-Loir department , † November 10, 2002 in La Celle-Saint-Cloud , Yvelines department ) was a French film director and screenwriter .

Life

Michel Boisrond worked as an assistant for directors such as Jean Delannoy , Jean Cocteau and René Clair , most recently in 1955 in the large-scale production of The latter director. On his directorial debut, he worked with actress Brigitte Bardot , with whom he made two other films. Boisrond, who also wrote the script for several of his films, directed mostly frivolous comedies, occasionally also agent films like OSS 117 - Devil's Dance in Tokyo without any further artistic claims.
