Michelle Bartsch-Hackley (born February 12, 1990 ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Bartsch began her career at Collinsville High School. In 2006 she won the NORCECA championship with the United States' national junior team . In 2008 the US team was able to repeat the success. In the same year Bartsch began her studies at the University of Illinois and played on the university team. She also coached a men's team at UC Irvine in California in 2013. In 2012, the attacker went to Llaneras de Toa Baja in Puerto Rico .

In 2013, the American was signed by the German Bundesliga club Rote Raben Vilsbiburg . With Vilsbiburg she reached the round of 16 in the CEV Cup . In March she won the DVV Cup with the Rote Raben and a few weeks later she became German runner-up .

Then Bartsch left Vilsbiburg and switched to the new German master Dresdner SC . With this she was able to defend the German championship in 2015 and announced five days after winning that she would play another season for the reigning German champions. With the Dresdner SC she became German champion and cup winner in 2016. In the final of the DVV Cup, she transformed the decisive ball and was voted the most valuable player in the final.

At the beginning of July 2016, Dresdner SC announced the move from Bartsch to the Italian club Südtirol Neruda Volley . From there she moved a year later to Futura Volley Busto Arsizio , who play in the highest Italian women's league A1. In the 2018/19 season she played for AGIL Volley Novara , again a team competing in the A1 league.

Bartsch, who has been married to Corbin Hackley since 2013, has played in the US national team since 2015 . With her she won the Pan American Cup 2017 and the Volleyball Nations League 2018 .
