Jan Treier (born February 11, 1992 ) is an Estonian biathlete .

Jan Treier took part in all four Biathlon Junior World Championships between 2010 and 2013 . He was able to achieve good placements in each case. In 2010 in Torsby two 14th places in sprint and individual were the best results, in 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě he achieved his best result with a sixth place in individual. Also in 2012 in Kontiolahti with 28th place in the pursuit and in 2013 with two 21st places in sprint and pursuit in Obertilliach , he placed well. In 2012 in Osrblie and 2013 in Bansko , Treier took part in junior races of the Biathlon European Championships and almost exclusively achieved top 20 placements. In 2012 he was also seventh in the sprint and eighth in the pursuit of the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships in Ufa .

In 2012 , Treier started in the men's IBU Cup for the first time in Ridnaun and finished 64th in a sprint. In the further course of the season he won points for the first time in Martell as 35th of the sprint and improved in the pursuit by eight places to 27th place. In Ridnaun, the Estonian improved his best result in 2014 to a 25th place in a sprint. In Nové Město na Moravě Treier started at his first major international event in the performance sector. He finished 55th in the individual, 54th in the sprint and 48th in the pursuit. With the distant relay he was on the side of Martin Remmelg , Jaan Koolmeister and Kermo Sikk 15. After the European Championships, Treier debuted in Pokljuka in the biathlon World Cup and was 86th in the sprint race.
