Mickaël Facchinetti (born February 15, 1991 in Neuchâtel ) is a Swiss football player who has been under contract with FC Sion since summer 2019 .
Career
society
Facchinetti already moved up as a youth in the 2007/08 season in the squad of the B-Elf of Xamax. For the first formation he made his debut in the Super League on May 30, 2009 when he was substituted on by coach Jean-Michel Aeby in the last championship game of the 2008/09 season in Lucerne . In the following season 2009/10 the young player, also under Aeby, came on three missions, from 2010/11 he was part of the Xamax regular formation , initially under coach Didier Ollé-Nicolle . By the end of 2011 Faccinetti had a total of 41 league games in the top Swiss division, in which Xamax placed 8th in both 2010 and 2011, placing them in the lower midfield. For Facchinetti, one of the highlights of his sporting career so far was reaching the 2011 Cup final , in which Xamax lost to FC Sion in Basel . In the winter break of 2011/12 , Xamax had to withdraw its team from the Super League after a license withdrawal. After a six-month detour to Chievo Verona, where he did not get a chance, Facchinetti played in the Super League at Lausanne Sport . After relegation with Lausanne, Facchinetti moved to FC St. Gallen for the 2014/15 season . In 2016 he moved to FC Thun . After 66 league appearances and two goals, he switched to APOEL Nicosia in the 2019 winter transfer period .
National team
Facchinetti was part of the Swiss U-20 national team from September 2010 to 2012. Facchinetti made his debut for this team on October 7, 2010 in the game against the German U-20 team , which was lost 2-0 in Heidenheim. Facchinetti came on a total of ten missions (1 goal). In 2012 he also played half time for the Swiss U-21 team.
