Anto Grgić (born November 28, 1996 in Schlieren ) is a Croatian - Swiss football player who has been under contract with FC Sion since January 11, 2018 .
Career
In the club
In 2009, when he was young, Grgić moved from Grasshopper Club Zurich to FC Zurich . On August 2, 2015, he made his Super League debut with FCZ against Grasshoppers . Grgić scored his first goal in Switzerland's top division against FC Lugano on November 22, 2015. In the final of the Swiss Cup 2015/16 , he was substituted on in the 20th minute of the game and in the end together with FC Zurich, Swiss Cup winners.
On July 13, 2016, Anto Grgić moved to VfB Stuttgart and signed a contract with the Swabians dated until the end of June 2020. He made his second division debut on August 26, 2016 against SV Sandhausen , the Swiss made his Bundesliga debut on October 29, 2017 against SC Freiburg , when he came on for Dženis Burnić in the 84th minute .
After Grgić had not played in the further course of the first half of the season, he moved on January 11, 2018 to June 30, 2019 on loan to the Swiss first division club FC Sion . By the end of the 2017/18 season , he made 14 appearances in the Super League and scored one goal. In the 2018/19 season , 20 league appearances followed, in which he scored 4 goals. For the 2019/20 season , FC Sion finally acquired the transfer rights to Grgić and provided him with a contract that runs until June 30, 2022.
National team
Grgić was active for all junior selections in Switzerland. With the Swiss U-17 national team , he took part in the U-17 European Championship in 2013 .
