Middletown is a city in New Castle County in the US state of Delaware with 18,871 inhabitants (as of 2010). The geographical coordinates are: 39.45 ° north, 75.71 ° west. The urban area has a size of 16.6 km².
The city is about 10 miles south of the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal and west of Highway 13, right on the state line with Maryland. The closest major city is Dover, Delaware , about 50 miles south.
Attractions
One attraction of the town is founded by Scots and after the patron saint of Scotland , Andreas , designated private school "Saint Andrews". The school achieved a certain fame in 1988/89 as the set for the film " Club of the Dead Poets ".
