Mieczysław Cieślar
Mieczysław Cieślar (born March 28, 1950 in Wisła in the Silesian Beskids ; † April 18, 2010 in Rogów near Łódź ) was a Lutheran theologian and bishop of the Warsaw Diocese of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .
Mieczysław Cieślar has been Bishop of the Diocese of Warsaw since 1996 and at the same time provost of the Lutheran parishes of Aleksandrów Łódzki ( Alexander b. Lodz ) and Łódź ( Lodz ). He had an accident on the evening of April 18, 2010 on the way home from the memorial services in Warsaw for the Polish President Lech Kaczyński and the victims of the plane crash near Smolensk on April 10, 2010.
