The tenant party was first founded in February 2016 as a regional association limited to Berlin with the self-name Mieterpartei / Bündnis Berlin . On October 5, 2019, Anke Hahn, Hartmut Bräunlich and Johnny Weston were elected as the three federal chairmen. Nicole Lindner was elected Deputy Federal Chairman and Federal Managing Director. And Uwe Zimmermann was re-elected as Federal Treasurer.
