Miguel Ángel Lozano Ayala , short Miguel Ángel , (born September 16, 1978 in Sabadell ) is a former Spanish football player .

Player career

Born in Catalonia, Miguel Ángel played for three years in the youth team of FC Barcelona after his first stop - in his hometown with CE Sabadell - but did not make it to the professional team there. In 1999 he finally made the leap to the Segunda División , where he played for the following two years at UD Levante .

From 2001 to 2005 Miguel Ángel was active for Málaga CF in the Primera División and once reached the UEFA Cup quarter -finals .

Nevertheless, he left the Andalusians again in 2005 for Real Betis , which was surprisingly represented in the Champions League . In the summer of 2007 he finally returned on loan to his ex-club UD Levante , but since this was relegated from bottom of the table in the following season, he left the club again. He moved back to Malaga and was used in half of the games in the 2008-09 season . The club then loaned him to Gimnàstic de Tarragona in the Segunda División for a season . There he and his team secured relegation at the end of the 2009/10 season. However, he did not return to Malaga, but joined the second division SD Ponferradina in the summer of 2010 . Even after half a year, he was hired at FC Badalona in the Segunda División B to. Here, too, he only stayed a half-year. After two more positions at CD Castellón and Terrassa FC , he ended his career in 2012.
