Miguel Angel Bossio Bastianini (born February 10, 1960 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan soccer player who was active during his club career in Uruguay and Spain and completed 30 international matches for the Uruguayan national soccer team .
Career

Miguel Bossio began his career in 1974 in his hometown of Montevideo with the Racing Club de Montevideo , for whose team he played three years in the Uruguayan league. In 1978 Sud América signed him. In 1982 he joined the Club Atlético Peñarol , for which he played up to and including the 1985 season. With the team he won the Uruguayan championship in 1982 and 1985. In addition, Peñarol won the Copa Libertadores in 1982 . After these successes, he left his home and the Spanish club joined Valencia on. The midfielder was active for Valencia from the 1986/87 season to 1990/91. He completed a total of 138 league games during this period and scored three goals. In 1991/92 he was in the ranks of the Spanish second division club CE Sabadell , where he played 33 league games and scored once. In 1993 he ran from his first use on March 14, 1993 to his last game on June 23, 1993 in ten first division games for Albacete Balompié .
National team
At the U-20 South American Football Championship in 1979 in their own country, Bossio won the title with Uruguay's U-20 . During the tournament he was used by trainer Raúl Bentancor three times (no goal). In the same year he was with the Celeste at the Junior Soccer World Cup 1979 in Japan third. On October 27, 1983 Bossio finally made his debut in the Uruguayan senior team when he ran up in the final of the Copa America 1983 against Brazil for the Uruguayan selection . With a 2-0 win over the Brazilians they won the Copa America . With the selection the qualification for the finals of the 1986 World Cup succeeded . The defender was used in the two group matches against West Germany and Denmark and in the round of 16 against Argentina. The game against eventual world champions Argentina ended in a 0-1 defeat and failure in the competition. By June 16, 1986 Bossio completed a total of 30 international matches (one goal).
