Miket Mjkt |
Miket is the name of a Nubian deity who was worshiped as a local goddess in the region of Elephantine and Sehelnarti in ancient Egypt . It is first recorded in the Middle Kingdom in the 13th Dynasty in Elephantine; in the Khnum temple there in the New Kingdom only once during the reign of Hatshepsut , which Miket mentioned regarding Thutmose II : " Thutmose II, loved by Miket, at the head of Nubia ... ".
Together with Satis , Miket belonged to the inner circle of the Nile flood deities who lived in the region of Elephantine in connection with Khnum. A later inscription from Amasis in the forecourt of the Satis temple on Elephantine has been preserved: “ Amasis, loved by Miket, revered in Elephantine, mistress of heaven .” Miket thus had the same surname as Satis and Anukis .
