1885: Zipernowsky, Déri and Bláthy transformer

Miksa Déri , Maximilian Déri and Maximilian Deutsch (born October 24, 1854 in Bács ; † March 3, 1938 in Meran ) was a Hungarian electrical engineer. He was one of the developers of the transformer .

Life

Déri studied hydraulics at the Technical University of Vienna until 1877 . Between 1878 and 1882 he participated in the regulation of the rivers Danube and Tisza . At the same time he studied electrical engineering and from 1882 worked at the company Ganz in Budapest as an engineer, later as a director. Along with Károly Zipernowsky he developed a self-excited AC - generator . Together with Károly Zipernowsky and Ottó Titusz Bláthy , he made significant contributions to the development of the patent-pending (Ganz'schen) transformer , when he was responsible for most of the experimental work.

In 1889 Max Déri came to the Internationale Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft (IEG) in Vienna, where he organized and technically equipped the Engerthstrasse steam power plant, which was completed in 1890, and led the company through the plant as (managing) director of the Kaiser Franz Joseph I company on June 2, 1893. As in 1891, the IEG was commissioned to on Corfu located palace Achilleion of Empress Elizabeth of Austria-Hungary equip electricians, Déri took over the management of the project. On October 28, 1893, Déri was co-opted as a member of the Board of Directors of the IEG in recognition of his services . From 1908 to 1922 he also served on the board of directors of the Vienna Union Bank.

Between 1898 and 1902, Max Déri worked on the compensated DC machine .

Déri, a pioneer of alternating current with Zipernowsky , died in Merano, registered by the Merano registry office as Deri Massimiliano, engineer, 83 years old .
