Milan Petržela (born June 19, 1983 in Prague ) is a Czech football player .

Club career

Milan Petržela played in his youth for TJ Hoštice-Heroltice, Petra Drnovice , Rostex Vyškov, Zeman Brno and again FK Drnovice, where he also made the leap into the men's team in 2003, which was then playing in the Czech second division .

In August 2003, the midfielder moved to 1. FC Slovácko in the Gambrinus League . There he completed 70 first division games in three years and was signed by Sparta Prague in January 2007 . However, the capital city loaned Petržela to FK Jablonec in March 2007 , where he came on 24 missions in which he scored one goal. For the 2007/08 season Petržela returned to Sparta Prague. In January 2008 he moved to Viktoria Pilsen .

In July 2012, FC Augsburg signed Petržela with a contract term until June 30, 2015. However, his contract was terminated prematurely in June 2013 by mutual agreement and he returned to Viktoria Plzen.

In August 2019 he returned to 1. FC Slovácko

National team

After six games for the Czech U20 team in 2003, Milan Petržela played 14 games for the U-21 national team from 2004 to 2005 . He has been playing for the senior national team since 2010 .
